MPhys notes: year 4
These "year 4 notes" are from when I did my fourth year: Sept 2008-June 2009. Hence, the corresponding courses may be different/irelevant to those running now. They will be added to as & when I write them up (usually within a few days of the lecture taking place).

Thank you
I would like to say a huge thanks to all who helped with spotting errors, typos, in helping with some conceptual errors and suggestions for better explanations. The list of people who have helped is large, and includes: Stuart Pawson, Alex Schofield, Nawal Husnoo, Simon Pike, Adam Weber and Chris Welshman. Also, thanks to the lecturers who have allowed me to put these notes up, and who have started to use them as handouts in their own lectures!
A note on the gravitation notes
If "index notation" is a problem for you, please find my set of notes on "Index Notation". This was specifically written for you. It can be found in the "Physics Stuff" page, or on the "Featured Downloads" thingy on the RHS of most pages.
Advanced Theoretical Physics
This is a compilation of the above notes, in one big file (basically, a book of 6 branches of theoretical physics). Click here to download a copy.
Perhaps a more useful size to read, are the notes per semester:
- Semester 1: Advanced Theoretical Physics, Volume 1
- Semester 2: Advanced Theoretical Physics, Volume 2
