  • Google is your friend. The first port of call for ANY problem. Try putting wiki at the end of any search string. Almost guaranteed to find a solution.
  • arXiv: Preprint server. See also hep-th and astro-ph.CO for recent papers.
  • Play.com: Buy cheap CDs.
  • GnuPlot: Some very useful & professional & free graphing software.
  • HyperPhysics:  A very good site for getting general information on stuff.
  • Hydrogenic Wavefunction Plotter: Use this applet to visualise electron wavefunctions/probability distributions around hydrogen.
  • Sean Carroll: Lecture notes on general relativity. This is a "paper" on the preprint server arXiv; a very comprehensive & complicated set of notes. Well worth a read.
  • LaTeX: This is the download site for the free type-setting software LaTeX. I have used this on various reports & typed-up-notes; it makes everything look really professional, but may take a little time to get used to.
  • LaTeX syntax: A file I have found really useful, to look up syntax.
  • LeeAbbeyCamps: The website for an amazing Christian Youth Camp.
  • David Brett: Lecture notes. A current UoM student. His notes are more relevant than mine, as he is in the year below me.
